Hi all, I secured a very nice domain name a while ago and have developed a basic business directory: Trades and Services Say i was to remove the free listing option and charge $20 or there abouts would using adwords be able to turn a profit ? I don't really have experience using adwords and would really appreciate any advice on this topic... If i invested say $200 into adwords for this project would it make more that $200 in sign ups / business listings ? Thanks in advanced for any help on this topic.
It would but you should plan it. you should weight out if your audience is ready to pay for the listing
Thanks i appreciate your fast reply, i am having trouble finding related questions.. and as an non-experienced adwords user i am a little unsure.. i would of course add many more features to the website before running such a campaign and also test the waters with a small first before jumping in the deep end. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Depends on two main factors IMO : your site's conversion rate (the ability to get a visitor to pay for his listing), and your keyword's cost per click. Per example if your site's conversion rate is 1%, and your average CPC is 2,00$, you will pay 18$ in traffic for a 20$ sale, therefore a 2$ profit. So unless your CPC are very low for your industry, I would insure your site has a high conversion potential.
