Adwords Editor and Ad Headline Text

I have an existing ad variation that has ++ in the headline. I am creating a new ad variation and want to use ++ in it as well but Adwords editor will not post it due to errors, says I can't use ++. Is this something that has changed or is there a way to get around this?

It was before I took over the account so I can't say for sure.

 

That's outside of the acceptable ads format, move on and find something else that works. Your current ad that has a ++ will likely be denied at some point when it's discovered.
