Im trying to run a PPC campaign on a product that helps people give up smoking. It doesnt contain tobacco and is actually a healthy alternative to smoking but Google flags it up as a smoking ad and they dont allow tobacco advertising. Is there any way round this that anyone is aware of?
I don't think there is such as thing as a "healthy" "alternative" to smoking. Google probably thinks the same way or at the very least, doesn't want to get involved with such products.
try yahoo ppc (if they allow those types of ads). it is only a tiny fraction of Adwords traffic, won't make a ton of money but can be profitable.
Actually You should not use Tobacco Soo much in you text if you would like to per mote the same Web Content, If the problem continues then Content Support center for guidance
You can try running a content campaign and bidding on demographic related keywords. For example words like, football, poker, night clubs, etc. Narrow down your audience and try to bid on things you think a smoker might would search for. Make sure when run these in the content network you use broad match types.
