Adwords Direct Linking?

When running adwords is it possible to direct link with your ref id? Technically the URL won't be the same so I don't know that it would force you to compete with another person bidding wise. Or does adwords just look at the base url?

Don't direct to the merchant's sales page, that will only get you a poor QS.

Technically the URL won't be the same so it is better to do with direct link using ref id so might be checkupping your ref id we can do it.

direct linking and adwords is done for... its a technique that doesn't work very well anymore.

Any yes there are correct ways of doing it still... I know that, but explaining this is way to complicated to a newbie

Google just looks at the base URL. So if two affiliates are using merchant.com, i.e:

    merchant.com?id=5
    merchant.com?id=7

    only one can show.

xxx.com should be considered as same as url xxx.com?id=9 or even xxx.com?id=10
so it only look at base url except u offer xxx.net or different.

You can find different merchant's landing pages out there but 90% of them will get you only a poor QS.

5 months ago I was also promoting some offer and got a great QS with the merchant's landing page, but it is always better to have your own landing page.
