adwords cpc question

    hi,
I got an email from a company claiming that they can reduce my cpc for
my keyword phrases for something like 15-30 per click. how is this
possible if when I bid on a phrase that has a cpc like 1.50 for an
average position of 1-3 can they get the same position for say 30 cents a click?

From what I understand is that if you want top spots for popular
phrases you have to over bid the comp. I know that for lesser searched
for phrases it can be say 5 cents a click but for high traffic
keywords can cost over a dollar a click.

    Should I avoid this company?

p.s i checked out their site and they dont advertise their services on
adwords. i mean if they have some super money saving formula how come
they dont run ads for their services & rake in the business.

    thanks

You can reduce your bids by improving your Quality Score. So if you have a Poor Quality Score, an experienced PPC expert could probably reduce your bids by 80%, by making changes to your landing page and advert text.

That said, since they don't know your Quality Score, they can't make any such claims. They sound to me like a bunch of cowboys (apologies to any real cowboys/girls out there) who'll say anything to get your business.

Have a look at your minimum bid quality score on your keyword page (customise columns if it isn't showing). Are your keywords Great? If so, then you are doing a good job already. If they are mainly 'OK', you can do better. If they are 'Poor' then you're throwing away money.

My guide (see the link below) may be of some help if you want to improve your campaign's performance...
