Adwords coupon - do i need new account?

I got a $100 coupon for adwords from google in the mail. Do i need to set up a new adwords account to use this coupon? I hope not cause I dont want to pay the activation fee.

Adwords codes are only valid for 14 days from the date your new account is created. So if your account is older then 14 days, yes you will need a new account.

Activation fee should be only $5. So they will return your $5 ballance from that $10 first payment.

I never heard about adwords voucher for account older than 15 days so far. So I think you should create a new account. or sell it.

 

First, if you already have an account, you cannot open another one as this would be against the rules. They also cannot be used on existing accounts opened more than 14 days. Therefore, the coupon is worthless to you.

People's logic sometimes baffles me. If you don't have an account, spending $5 to get $100 is a great deal. So I don't understand why you would be hesitant to do that. I believe they take it off that $100 so you still get $100 worth of services in total.
