Adwords costs and adsense income question

Google provides the ability to calculate the adwords costs on this site: https://adwords.google.com/select/TrafficEstimatorSandbox

So when I get an average of €0.89 - €1.16 estimated adwords costs for my niche and region, what can I expect to receive as adsense income?

Also I would like to know what click through rates you get? I have seen percentages from 0.1 up to 10%. Does this depend on the content or on positioning of the ads?

This sort of question comes up once in a while.

First, the costs are calculated for search. They are also estimates based on an average QS and some other factors such as competition. Depending on niche, smart advertisers (those able to get QS of 10) can easily beat these estimates.

Next, Google doesn't tell you how much they pay publishers. It may be 50%, it may be 20%.

Putting all these things together, it's impossible to answer your question. What I can tell you is that if you expect to spend on advertising with Adwords and make money with Adsense, the logic and math just isn't there, even if 100% of visitors clicked on at least one ad on your site.

But let's take best case scenarios. Your page is optimized for the keyword for which the first place position in search is estimated to cost $1. If Google gives 50% to publishers, you'd get $0.50 per click. If 10% of visitors on your site click on ads, you'd make 50 cents for every ten visitor or $0.05 per visitor. If you spent $1, you lose $0.95 per visitor.

As an advertiser, I know that ad type (text, image) makes a difference in the click rate. So does the position of the ads and many other factors. You also want to target the right sites, content in other words.

If your aim is to buy Adwords traffic and send it to adsense sites in the hope they click then you are about 5 years too late unfortunately. It just doesnt work like that anymore, Lucids answer is solid.

No, the questions was more like what percentage of the advertiser payment will be paid to the publisher. After reading a lot about it I guess Google change this depending on how valuable the clicks are, I am not sure about this, but this is in my eyes the only reason why nobody knows this exactly.
