When does adwords cost start to go down I have already throw 1k into this campaign and my cost are still unbelievably high? It has a ctr of 7-8 percent, it just don't make no sense to me...
I guess u r using direct linking to ur page, which may be resulting in poor quality score and hence high CPC
you will see that avg CPC goes down almost 50% by the 3rd month from initially starting a brand new account.
It only goes down if the campaign ticks all of Google's boxes. Just because yours have, it doesn't follow that everyone else's will... And you can have a very low minimum bid on a brand new account. It's just that Google reassess your QS over time as they get a reliable CTR. In this case, it's not the CTR that's holding the campaign's QS back(assuming that the QS isn't very good already), so if there is a QS problem, it must be the website or the advert relevance. Or it could just be that tdd is paying the going rate for traffic in that area, but can't convert it as well as the competition...
I am not referring to this happening just once or on just my personal account. I have managed hundreds of accounts and I see this is congruent between all of them. I of course, always have all my ducks in a row so I rarely come up with a QS problem.
