Adwords conversion-what did my customer search in google to make it to certain pages?

I have a small adwords program running but am having terrible trouble working out how to track back from certain landing pages to find out what the customer initially typed into google. This is preventing me from refining the program as I don't know which search phrases are reaping rewards - any help!?

On AdWords interface : Campaigns tab --> Keywords tab --> "see Search Terms" button (in the middle)

Also you can download the data and look for significant words by using simple text analysis tools like http://textalyser.net/

Thanks, maybe I didn't explain exactly what I meant - what you have suggested does tell me which of my phrases have been getting people to visit the site - but when they reach the site we are hoping they leave their details for a callback, when they do this it will take them to a "thank you for leaving you details, someone will call you shortly" page - what I am really looking to track is when someone has reached that page, which phrase did they intially type into google?

OK, I hope I get it right this time.
Then insert a conversion tracking code to the mentioned "thank you page".
After a while look at the Search Term data as explained above, and add the Conversions columns.

for the info! I had a tracking code already inserted and after looking around and speaking to my IT lady it seems that the reason I couldn't see the converted goals next to any of my keywords and phrases was because they were all falling under the 'display network' which i feel i understand about 75% after she's explained it to me, so leads me to my last question.... Is there any way to track with words or phrases led people to click my link through the display network?!

Yes, but it requires having and perhaps configuring a web log / database of the website.
Attach a destination URL to each keyword, with a unique parameter, like:
    http://www.mylandingpage.com/?ke=yada-yada-yada

Then extract the data from the database.

According to Google an ad is triggered by all the ad group's keywords at once (in the display network only).

But when I do as above, I find specific keywords that trigger specific ads.

if you do not know how to follow your conversion I would not recommend advertising on the content network. it is much harder for a newbie to work and track results then search network which tells you exactly what keywords triggered your ads. If I were you, I'd focus on Search and then shift to the
