Adwords Competition - Hyper-competitive Keywords

Currently I am trying to advertise in the long-tail end of payday cash advance related terms, organizing by City / State. I've had my account reviewed and optimized by Google and it looks like it's ready to go.

We are currently able to spend $1000 a day if we needed to just to see what works.

    Here's the problem...

We're currently bidding relatively high for long-tail keywords and it seems we are getting NO results. I would assume this is because the companies spending $15,000 a day on the really strong keywords are also getting the long tail search?

If this is the case... is there any chance of competing against them since it seems they are getting preferential treatment from Google, locking out competitors.

Also, do you guys have any other suggestions for competing in highly competitive markets in PPC?

What do you mean by no results...no activity (impressions/clicks) at all or no conversions?

No activity... only 1 impression per day on most of the campaigns. One overall click.

Are you sure there's any volume out there associated with your terms? Are you exact or broad matching? Typically "long tail" adwords accounts need hundreds/thousands of keywords to generate significant activity. Is your account in that range?

You might want to contact me. We are in the process of expanding our keyword coverage on Payday Loan terms. Currently we are sending out 3000 uniques a day for those terms.

I would certainly be interested in talking to you about an exclusive deal on our traffic.

PM me and let's talk about a deal...

Check your keywords to make sure they are active. This is a somewhat gray advertising area.

I would too. See if you can get hold of their live support in the contact us link. Theyre a lot more responsive than emailing...

Yeah, we've talked to Customer Service. It's just the competition for the important keywords are not going to be effective for us.

We're trying out alternate routes at this point, I'll let you know how it goes.
