    Hi,

I was wondering what peoples views were on Clickthrough rate were. I thought if you had a high CTR on keywords then you would get cheaper bids for that keyword, meaning over time you can reduce your bid on these words to end up in the same position for cheaper?!

However, I haven't seen any evidence of this and I find it a better ROI if I have limited budget to pay less for clicks and get a worse CTR, but ge more clicks for my money.

    What are your views?

The lead is what you need ^^

The CTR is based on your position and the important thing on a good ad text. The CTR is not directly based on your bidding.

The higher your CTR is the lower price you pay for a click. Thats a part of the quality score.

For the search network it matters. For the content network, it doesn't.

How do you know your getting a good CTR? You don't...

How long have you been monitoring your CPC? I find it takes about 3 months minimal to start seeing the decrease in CPC costs. Also you really need to make sure your CTR and QS is above average otherwise you will not get much of a decrease

Is the 3 month minimum to seeing a CPC decrease based on your experience? Because I've been able to notch down average cpc costs within a week of gaining a good or higher quality score.

you will see some immediate results in the beginning, but if you chart out the decrease over time you will see the greatest decrease during the first 3 months.
