I just read that starting in april that adwords will only allow display urls to match the direct link url. SO that means, your ads will not allow hoplinks unless you want that displayed and no more lazy ways of making money. Its time for everyone to make landing pages if you want to use adwords. correct me if i am wrong
Once again: the display URL must match the FINAL LANDING PAGE's URL. Hoplinks are fine as destination URLs. The only problem that this new policy gives is for the cheap domain redirectors. They will either have to compete on the display URL or create a real website. nadavs
There are no major changes in their URL policy. All they want to say, is that you final landing page's url must match the display url, exactly as nadavs said. So direct linking will still work.
That would be a good thing though, it would force people to make more money. Landing pages rather than direct linking work far far better.
