Adwords Campaigns for Financial Planners / Advisors?

I am experimenting with Adwords to market my financial planning practice. Is anyone else currently handling a similar product or service? I am interested in exchanging ideas, etc.

Experienced Adwords users please feel free to offer your thoughts. Most of the Adwords advertising is done by the BIG mutual fund and broker firms and is of pretty poor quality in my opinion. I would really like to see what can be achieved using the adwords vehicle.

Yeah, I know. Right now my CPC is around $2.00 for keywords like "Oregon Financial Planner" and "Oregon Financial Advisor". I think it is managable if I can increase my conversion rate on my landing page. Still too early to tell how my landing page is doing. I have only had a handful of clicks in the past couple of weeks. Because my practice is only registered in Oregon, I have been restricting my ads to that state. Thus my number of daily impressions is not huge. It is going to take a few weeks to decide if I need to revamp my landing page.
