Does anybody had luck with getting links when running AdWords campaign? Theoretically, if you have quality website people which came through ads to your website might like it and post about it in their blog and forums. I've run some compaigns and I've noticed few links, but I wonder did anybody have luck with it, ending up with free traffic?
Yep. If you have a quality site some people will link to it if they know it's there. AdWords (and PPC in general) is a great way to "get the word out" about your site.
hi there, i started an adwords campaign a few weeks ago just to say "merry christmas and happy new year" to all of my target. Hopefully, they will come back again, and again, and again. This way i´m passing the word out about the website and gaining more visitors on a daily basis.
Could you write more about your expirience? How much did you spent and how many clicks you got, and how many links you get and how much traffic you got through those links and in the end position in SERPs. I'm curious.
To me the "organic" stuff is a benefit I don't plan for or count on. Because of that, I typically don't track things to the level in which you're asking to see. In terms of "end postion in the serps", there's no such thing
Perhaps someone could say : I run AdWords campaign for site mysite.com and didn't get any links. I spent xx.xxx$ in 16months and got yyz links according to Yahoo. You could find out number of links by searching "linkdomain: mysite.com" in Yahoo.
It depends what niche you're in. If you're in a tech related niche where many of your targets likely HAVE blogs and websites than, sure, you're likely to get some decent links. If, however, you're running a site about for instance, paper airplanes, it's not likely that a lot of people looking at your paper airplanes site have blogs and such that they are going back to post to. But... it's the CUMULATIVE effect of adwords and many other factors. If you have a good resource, in the end, using multiple marketing methods will build your links, visitors and hopefully therefore revenue.
