Hello, Just started a new Adwords campaign. Day 1 had 109,000 impressions and several hundred clicks in only 10 hours (it was started late in the day) Day 2 and Day 3 only have about 5000 impressions, and hardly any clicks. Why do you think google shut off displaying the ads? Is there any way to fix this? This is the same campaign I ran successfully for 6 months in 2007, now I started it on a different google account. I'd really like my exposure to go back up.
With new accounts this may be the case because as Adwords gathers information about how your ads are performing and then compares it to your competitors for the same keywords. Initially you will get a lot of traffic, but if Google determines that your ads are underperforming your competitors in terms of CTR, then they might show it less or not at all.
i don't really have competition for my keywords. but i think low CTR was due to content network. how do i get them to start displaying my search keywords again?
Has the traffic dropped on the Search and Content Networks? Run an account report, filtering just the Search performance, reporting daily data, and see if the impressions and clicks are lower. You can get huge variations on the Content Network, but your Content Network performance doesn't affect your Search performance...
