I'm just curious what have you guys done to get your Landing Page back to normal or I should say your QS back to great after being slapped? I have tried everything I did every single compliant rule through the AdWords Guide on landing pages, but my QS is still at great and it's been about a week since I've changed the landing page??? Have you guys ever been smacked and got your QS scores back to great due to the landing page quality? I haven't seem to get a direct answer yet or I should say someone that is very knowledgeable in that area?
I'll be honest with you, very few people are able to recover from a slap. 97% of people just open up a new domain.
That's what I'm wondering. So if I do a new domain will my history still be there for them keywords? Also if you don't mind me asking do you do a lot of affiliate marketing your self?
I'll explain how it works, your whole Adword account becomes a history. When your opening up a new AD with a new domain, and even bidding on new keywords it will still take into account that you once had keywords that were in "Poor" Quality. When some people started Adwords for the first time, and messed up frequently; they ruined their Adword account history. So now, once they understand everything better, it is much harder for them to retain high quality scores on their new campaigns. Most are forced to re-open fresh new accounts. But this situation only occurs if you received "Poor" quality scores on over 10 different ADS over time. Yes, I do quite a bit of affiliate marketing myself.
Yea I agree, but if I'm right can't you re-build your history back up by re-building your landing page with content and etc? Or should I just create a new domain?
It's very hard to rebuild from a google slap on a domain. If that domain is now forced to pay $5 or $10 per click; then getting it back to normal rates is very difficult; even if you totally rebuilt the whole landing page. Usually, it's a permanent slap on a domain.
So basically they consider arbitrage sites trash... I thought it was a pretty good site, but I think I'm going to re-build it this time and register a new domain, but with more content. What's funny is that any other sites I create with new keywords (new campaigns) they all have a QS of great, so I know it's just that domain and campaign.
