Adwords campaign question

My site dropped in the SERPs recently, whatever reason. I decided to invest some money into an Adwords campaign, that can slowly help me gain some visitors and in the site's overall SEO and link building.

    My questions are:

    1) How much should I invest and on how many months? ( my funds are limited and I can't invest very much ). Also, if I invest small amounts, it's worth it or do I have a chance to see nothing beneficial.

    2) Do you think that Adwords it's a viable options to regain some rankings in time? (via traffic,Google and link building)

    3) What do you guys advise me?

I really appreciate all honest opinions.

    1. investment analysis requires website and industry background information. This is hard to guesstimate with no information. Your budget could be 100 a month to 100k a month. Maybe even more, who knows

    2. Adwords will not get you natural rankings... ever...

    3. If you have a direct response offer, a competitive price and provide value to the market, PPC can be a great money maker

First of all, the website doesn't sell anything, it's sole income is from Adsense and ads. The website is a software directory with free downloads and such

Are all the softwares in your directory trademark terms? Google the titles and see if any "Sponsored Results" show. Robert is right about PPC not providing help in ranking better. PPC for this type of site should compliment the organic traffic.

Based on the details you provided I think that investing more in SEO will be more profitable for you. SEO have that long lasting effect you can enjoy in the long run.

As a side note, driving Adwords traffic to a site that use Adsense as its main income source is not such a good idea nowadays.

    My 2c…

Plus they really don't like downloads at all...you'll pay through the nose for that.
