I started an adwords campaign with a landing page that I thought was great. The quality score for most keywords was "Great". The average ctr was about 3.13%...However no sales. Maybe someone here can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks from Paul p.s. Not sure if I can post the landing page url here.
You can post your landing page url here - it's only affilaite links for the purpose of being spammy that are frowned upon. If you're getting clicks but no conversions it is most likely a landing page problem - or it could be a question of targetting - if your keywords don't completely accurately mirror what you're offering, or your creative is misleading, people may be clicking thinking you're offering something else. The other thing to think about is negative keywords - (have you blocked the obvious things like 'free')
Here is my landing page url: http://www.guzmansgreenhouse.com/gardeners-handbook.htm I am also doing split testing using different keywords and a similiar landing page. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Paul
Hello Paul, Landing page mentioned above doesnt looks that good than the one after that landing page Get an extra form on top of the website after the headlines. Make sure you are using all the possible specific keywords(no general or broad keywords like 'gardening') in your campaigns. Also get your ads more specific to your product and services. for e.g. getting the price of the e-book into your ads I hope this works. Get a big bold bright cant miss it headline that captivates them to read more. "The Gardeners Handbook" sure didn't leave me wanting to read more...
I agree with the headline suggestion. Use a headline in red with quotes. Something that grabs the reader's attention. Also, maybe move all the questions in the intro down lower. Also, switch the bottom icon to a BUY icon.
I think it's a hard thing to sell, because there is a lot of gardening advice out there for free - on the net, radio and TV. A couple of sample articles to give people a taster of what they're paying for might help
Do you mean an optin form so visitors can join my newsletter? THe keywords I am using are long tailed keywords nothing general. Ex: how to design a flowering garden, How to design vegetable garden. how to start my own garden. I will add the price into the landing page...Thanks from Paul
the newsletter is a great idea for the low conversion page. you have a lot of traffic and how did you know are they to take heed with your landing page? get special offer to deal with e-mail (use e-mail customer marketing for free in the future) you will know feedback oh and try to promote your (any) special technics in landing page not a simple question (a few process in the your book for customer) try it! and share with us
I agree, he should probably make the title at the top maby what he has written on the book! Create your Dream Garden! ..
Things appear different on my vista box than they do on my XP boxes, they always seem a little lighter. Your link at the very bottom of the page is almost invisible to me. That won't help much, I don't think, but figured I would point it out. JJ
The single page landing page looks fine but it needs a clear call to action and clear pricing. The link that the page want you to go to is what I would be more concerned about. The home page is not an optimal place to send your customers. Its cluttered and does not sell a specific product. You will have a low conv ratio due to this. Instead sell the ebook directly from this page and you will probably have more success. Lastly your landing page needs to have a contact us and privacy policy page. It currently does not exist and google does not like that. If you need more help on your campaign please PM me
You said you're bidding on long tail keywords, but the ones you're bidding on are not good for selling a guide. You need to drop those and focus on buying keywords instead. A campaign with a lot of clicks and no sales is not a good campaign and while your landing page is a part of that, the keywords you're bidding on are the trouble spot. Instead of "how to blah blah blah", which implies you're going to tell them something, for FREE, bid on phrases like: best gardening handbook buy gardening ebook purchase gardening book Those will have lower volume but higher conversions then the general how to keywords. Make sure your ad copy is clear too. Make it known you're not giving away info for free. You may even put the price in the ad itself. With adwords more traffic is not the best way, more converting traffic is best.
As well as your landing page, review your ad copy and see if you can qualify your traffic more. For example, someone searching for gardening may actually be looking for a gardener, rather than advice on gardening. By clarifying your ad text, you filter out people that are not really after your offer. With better quality traffic, this should also help with your conversion rate and lower your click costs.
robertpriolo...The link that I want visitors to go to is the affiliate page where someone would hopefully make a purchase? In any case I have changed the landing page in question... The response and advice here has been very informative. Any further advice, information and or help is greatly appreciated Paul
I've changed the landing page..."Need More Input" concerning the new look. http://www.guzmansgreenhouse.com/gardeners-handbook.htm Thanks from Paul
