Adwords campaign - Countries aimed at??

Hi there just a question on my adwords campaigns. I have three campaigns affiliating clickbank products, so when i first started promoting the products i aimed the campaigns at the US and UK, eventually i realised that i was making all my sales with people in the US, so i decided to change the countries that i was aiming at to the US and tried Canada.

But now i have realised im making less sales, and having hardly any impressions!!

My bid price is the same, and so are the keywords, so whats going on? Any suggestions on this or the countries to aim my campaigns at please reply.

    Thanks.

Well thats just it - i don't exactly no why my impressions decreased.

    Here's Exactly What happened :

    1. Starting with US & UK country targeting.
    2. Noticed that sales where coming just from the US.
    3. So decided that i would then get more impressions through targeting it in the US, and not the UK (because thought that the UK searches where basically not prepared to buy the products - and were wasting my money) so added Canada instead to see what they were like.
    4. Noticed I had a huge decrease in no. of impressions and clicks.

    So whats going on???

    Thanks

    Are you targeting content network?

When you add a new country to your campaign (canada), all your ads go to revision queue again - so they will not run on content network for any country (including US) until they are reviewed again.

What probably is happening now is that your ads are pending review and you are receiving impressions from search network only from US and CA. as soon your ads are revised (5 business days after you changed the config) they will run again on content network for US/CA and everything will be ok again

Well i'm not running on content network, just search network. Just to ask, do you think this is wise running just on search network? because i've found that the conversion rate is much poorer because its not as targeted.

Anyway - today i upped my daily budget to £4, and got only 492 impressions and 5 clicks - 1.01% CTR - costing £0.71. I have the max keywords so this can't be a problem surely?!

Any views would be apprieciated, Thanks.

its ok, I don't like content network also.

95% of my campaigns I run pure Google Search network - in this way you can place higher bids and get higher positions - this also means 0% click fraud!

try changing your delivery method to accelerated on campaign config - also double check if there is the campaign country/language settings are ok.

The content networks good for cheap traffic but the search network is far better at converting sales from targeted users.

Check your daily budget. That may slow down the amount
your ads are shown throughout the networks.

I have found local to be more cost effective. Of course I am sure it depends on what you're marketing.

Is it possible that your impressions decreased because competition in usa+canada is higher than in uk? If so, most of your ims before were being shwn in UK because bids were lower there, but now that you shown in usa and canada, the avg bid level is higher, and if you have the same bids, your ads go lower in the pile. Just a thought.
