I'm new to this forum and love it instantly! Just wondering if anyone can give me some input for bidding tricks 4 adwords.

Is there an Adword track tools that show you how many site sign up for a specific keyword and how much they are bidding for it?

Also, is it possible to track how many keywords have been search for specific country. How can I find out, how many times people have click on say ..ORGANIC targetting only on australian sites.

AdWords itself will give you an estimate on how many click throughs you should get. Of course, it's just a guess.

As far as seeing how often someone searches for something, there isn't anything specific out there, and not anything any breaks it down by region. The keyword suggestion tool in my signature is about as close as you will be able to get (as far as I know).

AdWords doesn't disclose any info like that (unfortunately).

The best way to determine this is via the adwords interface. Start by selecting the keywords that interest you, then increase your spend figure until you reach an estimated first position. It's not 100% but it'll give you a range (obviously between pos 1 and pos 2) for the best bid.. it won't tell you how many seperate bids there are per keyword though.

i think one of the most important factors in a successful adwords campaign is in your keyword list. if bids for your keywords are too high, you should "think outside the box" and make list of related keywords. let's say you're a web host. it doesn't make sense to target the "web hosting" keyword. sure, there are probably thousands of queries per day but last i heard, top placement was over $10 per click through. it would be cheaper to target specific search phrases such as "mysql hosting," "cpanel hosting" or "virtual private server."

Are you signed up for Overture? I use Overture to see who is bidding on what keyword, and how much. It's a great way to research Adwords! And it also gives a good view of the competition

Sorry for the noob questions ...but how how does average position scale works? What does it mean if i have 1.3??
    Another question:
    - Google only display 8 adword sites per page T/F?
    - If i type my keywords and see these adwords site means they are the bidder for these keywords? If I only see 3 sites does it mean I still have a good chance to bid on the keyword.

Thanks for the tips on overture, btw is it possible to be listed in overture database without paid inclusion.

Yes, Google displays up to 8 ads per page. If you only see 3 sites, it's relative uncompetitive, and you should be able to bid in pretty low.

I'd bid the bare MIN on those keywords with less than 8 competing.

Bear in mind that the position is an estimate. Unbounded search terms can complicate the process of estimating how many ads will show up for a specific search. I refer you to this thread for my detailed explaination:

    Google Adwords - "" vs []

Average position at 1.3 is like the average American family with 1.75 children.

It is the average place your ad appears on the search page numbering from one at the top on down. So as I would understand the calulation if in ten appearances you had been dispalyed on the top 7 times and in #2 position 3 time I think you average position is (7+(3x2))/10=1.3.

I can't possibly understand why would people need such tools to determine the bids on keywords, unless they want to cheat and add those specific adsense ads? As far as adwords competitive keywords should concern people, the statistic you get on your adwords account are more than enough to realize the amount of $ you have to bid on keywords. Browse those statistics, increase and decrease your bids, you should find out what you're looking for in maximum of few days.

No, 3 internet years is like 300 real life years. All the original posters are long gone and the accounts taken over by their descendants. :p

That was a good tip on Overture, my learning from that are that some business are spending heaps on keywords and that Ebay has got just about every keyword as well.
It there anyway to tell how much is being spent per work by each company without buying the full version.
