You should filter your keywords and categorize them properly.
    1) Have you tested with Broad, Phrase, Exact or negative keywords etc?
    2) Have you tried content targeting?
    3) Have you tried placement ads?
    4) Have you tested regional ads.?
    5) Have you tried with different positions?

Try these... they might help you.

    Thanks_

If you feel like you are over bidding and
have a good CTR and Quality Score - start
SLOWLY decreasing your bids. If all goes well
hopefully your ads wont' go inactive and you'll
    keep decent positions.

Right now i signed up for a trial with mediaboost, and from the prediction screenshoots they sent me they are saying they can give me a boost of 30% for 2.8% of my google spend... sounds like a deal to me

This is a symptom of a larger issue. You're not sure how to manage your campaign because you haven't set any kind of rules to start. What's your target ROI? What's your max bid at that target ROI? How long are you going to let it run for? What's your max spend per keyword? You need to lay down those numbers first then managing is simple. That is what those agencies are going to do, but you can do the same just as easily.

Just set some guidelines up ahead of time and stick to them when pausing or adjusting bids.
