If I use $50 to buy some Advertisement with AdWords will my SEO be better for Google after the advertisements run out?

Only if someone who saw your ad has put a link to your site on their website. Otherwise, no, there's no connection between SEO and adwords.

I agree with magda, absolutely no connection between the two.

Seo = may take longer to see benefits.
Adwords = may see benefits very quickly.

not at all. With adwords , you pay per click . once your funds have been gone away, you wouldn't be able to publish anymore. It has nothing to do with seo. It is just a quicker way to drive traffic.

So true, I've heard so many SEO companies tell me they improve SEO through PPC. This is absolute rubbish.....

are you sure google doesn't give preference to someone who gives them cash? I would like it would help, but probably not as much as others say it does..

like a small fraction of a percentage increase.. Google does have to analyze the quality of your page based on the keywords you are buying.. that could then be used in their SERP calculations..

it depends what kind of site you have... are you selling something? If you aren't, adwords is a waste of money

Well, no way to be sure but I doubt they would. Indeed, my suspicion is the opposite - that Google may penalize advertisers with lower natural results!

I believe the crawling of your site and calculation of relevance are done by two completely unconnected robots / programs - Googlebot for SERPS and Adbot (?) for Adwords. How else can one explain that I can be placed in the top 10 out of 6.5 million in natural results for a two word phrase that Adwords only assigns a QS of 6 or 7 (and before anyone suggests it, the phrase is as well optimized for ad text, display url, destination url, etc. as any of the many QS9 and 10 keywords I have and, in SEO terms, is probably the most highly optimized keyword phrase on my site.)

Adbot ? Not sure this is its actual name but it is what I have heard it referred to as.

no, however advertisers with "text-link-ads" may help your SEO
