Hey there, one of my niches is iPod and iTunes users. I've been using those terms in my ads for the last 5 months with no problems. Today I tried creating a new ad with those terms and it instantly got rejected because of those trademarked terms. However, I'm already running an ad with no problems whatsoever, and so are many other people, including my competitors. Google offers a way to request an exemption, which I want to do, but I'm afraid they see my ad that is already running. What do you think?
Probably It will not work as your ad will be reviewed and disapproved. Also the reviewers has the procedure to review all ads on an adgroup when one of its ads get disapproved - so sending this ad will spots the other ads you have there. Your best bet is to do not sending new ads or edit the existing one.
I tried to set up an iPod ad about three months ago and it was immediately disapproved. If you already have an iPod ad running, I'd make sure that it wasn't identified (I'm assuming it's making a return, since it has been running for five months). Do not contact Google to request exemption, or you might lose your existing ad, which you are lucky to have.
