Adwords As A Keyword Mining Tool?

Can I use Adwords and Analytics as a keyword mining tool? For example, I bid on a root word like "ringtone", will Analytics show me the actual keywords that those ad clicks originate from - buy ringtones, crazy frog ringtone, etc?

Google recently released some new features for AdWords and I think this is the closest you will get to what you are looking for. I haven't had any time to play with it yet, but here is Google's description.

See which search queries triggered your ads to show and get clicked on
With the new Search Query Performance report, you can learn the exact word or set of words a user entered to trigger your ad when searching on Google.com or one of our search network sites. Gain insight into how people find and react to your ads and determine how well your keywords and ads are targeted to your potential customers by viewing the Search Query and Search Query Match Type metrics associated with this report. Access this report from the 'Create Report' page within your account today.

Yes, Analytics will show you both CPC and organic search terms that brought people to your site. Click on the traffic sources overview then on 'Google (cpc)' or 'google (organic)' and the terms used will be displayed in a list along with their stats.

I would use overtures keyword tool - I find it to be more helpful and then apply it to my adwords campaigns
