Does adwords have a mechanism of deactivating once it turns out a site is temp. down ?

    IMHO....this should be possible..if not....are there 3rd party tools ?

    (shakes fists at host.....:( )

No there isn't. You can be disapproved in case of manually checking. but if you're auto approve, you could indeed pay for no real impression & clicks as your site doesn't work properly. But this is completely out of control and responsibility of Google.

yes...i see that. But basiically tehy *could* have a menchanism so if someoneclicks (not myself !) and the site doesnt respond, that the ads are paused. But of course thats not in G's benefit :)

    Nor their reposnsibility.

Imagine the heat they would catch when their system paused people's ads because it detected a site being down. I can see the outrage already..."my site wasn't down and Google paused all my ads and I missed $x in sales".

I don't want Google turning my campaigns on and off.
