Ya know, i'm really getting tired of having to deal with the adwords slowness. What's most offensive though is that google clearly feels there is nothing wrong and no need for improvement. (Nothing has ever improved) Navigating it's online GUI regardless of time of day is at at the pace of a slug, at best. What's it going to take before google finally does something about this? It literally doubles+ if not more the amount of time i should have to spend to get anything done. I'm tired of it. The page transitions from one to another etc.. etc.. slowest online service that i use, or ever have used. What's worse is how its so unpredictable about it being ~fast, or slow, (& in between) or when it's going to do either. You try approaching the thing at 1am or so then you get slammed with maintenence or something else (not officially mentioned) it's rediculous.
Here in Brazil is always fast and reliable. is very rare to see the maintenance AdWords page out of a schedule. Are you sure that is a problem in AdWords? not in your Service Provider for example? I never hear a report like yours against AdWords.
it isn't my ISP, though i guess i can't expect anyone here to really know the difference given most ppl here aren't working as much in adwords as i do. Just within the last hour i've had 10-15+sec wait times from going page to page, if i was paying some one for adwords work at least 30-50% of their time (my money) would be just wasted on waiting on the website. As far as the maintenence thing goes, i said 'not officially' for a reason, again i don't expect anyone here to be in adwords enough to notice when they have hiccups. Few nights ago they were down for a good hour with no official mention. Typical of many online services (not just adwords)
I'ts being really slow for me today...its not my isp. Once I get to my ad campaign though it speeds up, but logging in and navigation outside the campaign is s l o w .
It's always pretty quick for me. You could always try and get in on the AdWords Editor Beta so you could do everything off line then upload it. haha. Thanks for allowing us lowly peons access to your advanced knowledge.
The reason of me posting this wasn't for people's 'help' - though what GuyFromChicago posted might actually be useful thanks. Just cuz it says 'peon' below my name doesn't mean i dont make a living doing this. Last night i actually got a 'we're sorry error' after repeated sluggishness that was borderline disgusting. It happens. It happened quite a bit last night, happens all the time. I've given serious thought to hiring some one to help speed up my campaign work but with this situation i just can't justify flushing the $$ & time.
JKE, Where are you from? I think that AdWords Editor is available is US only for now. I think also that is wrong you to tell that there is something wrong with AdWords until their support do not helps you. ok I don't have in mind a solution that support may help in this strange problem - But apparently you've refused to contact support about this issue and is wrong to come here and tell bad things about AdWords about a problem that you have not contacted their support to help you.
It's invite only too. Anyone can hit the page I linked to but not anyone can download/use it. According to JKE he's a big player with AdWords so I'm sure his semi dedicated account rep will get him access right away. I've tinkered with it a little, just haven't had time or the need to really dive into it yet. I asked Rob to let me test it out more with his account but he said no
