Ok I was just curious if anyone could help provide me with some advice, and helpful information. So I am new to AdWords, and currently decided to promote two Click Bank products using AdWords. Both products are in the same 'Niche', and the destination URL is currently my Hoplink with CB. I am using just the keywords a person would use who would be looking for this product, and I am not using the word 'FREE' in any keywords. My AdWords budget right now is low, like under a $1 for each campaign, but I am receiving impressions and clicks. One campaign has received 697 impressions and 6 clicks. Does the above sound ok or should I tweak something a little? Also when promoting CB products, how long usually does it take to see conversions using AdWords?
Always try other ads. I'm never satisfied and want to get higher CTRs, unless there's a reason not to get high CTRs, such as if the conversion is less. Six clicks in 697 is not what I would consider OK but I know nothing else about your campaign. As for conversions, can't go on six clicks. Conversions will be as good as the landing page, doesn't matter if you use Adwords or other methods. Although your ad can affect the rate. You could get 200 clicks and not make a sale, doesn't matter if it's a CB product or your own.
I am using search... and on the campaign that got 6 clicks I use to have around 20 Keywords which I cut back this morning to only 4 of the top performing keywords
You should not use your hoplink as the destination URL in adwords. It reduces the quality score of your ads and also increases your CPC.
Ok, well thanks for the information seodelhi, and mushu. I decided to end the CB campaigns and focus on 3 other campaigns. Mainly all are running a affiliate link...
Just to reiterate, you can't go off 6 clicks. The data proves no relevance, as if you have another 10000 impressions and of those another 60 click, then that is proof. Hard to get advice when we can't see your campaign. I'd suggest that you also look at your actual ads. There are some good ad techniques out there that you should definitely use. Some, which you've probably heard of, are: - Benefit and feature. Title is the usual... First line states benefit, next states feature. - Question Ask a question, then use benefit and feature. - Negative sell (my favorite) Attack the competition. "don't get fooled by other CPC products, get the real facts here" - Hype selling Talk about feature, feature, feature. - Copy competition (the boring one) Just check out what other people are writing and do it better... Pretty elementary I know, but I hope it helps.
Well thanks Gumio for all that information... Hopefully soon I will understand it more then I do know. I am just starting with AdWords, but I have had a few domains through time... and now I have just one which I am trying to build, use, and maintain for a little more time and possibly sell it at a later date. Just lost my job a while back, and decided hey why not, kind of thought I could start AdWords without getting one of those e-books, but I see on here even yall suggest some of the ebooks. So I am thinking of looking for a way to get one, just don't have the money right now to spend.
