That question really cannot be answered. It all depends on what your ads look like, how many times they will show under the keywords selected, what your site looks like, and what it is exactly you are selling. As an advertiser myself, I personally don't mess with Google. Their prices are too high, combined with too much competition. There is just way too many other places to advertise.
Hi olddocks, If you are advertising your website with Adwords, the first thing you should do is to use advertising copy specific to your product offer. Google Adwords allows you to send a visitor to a specific landing page, your landing page should be designed to sell your products or services and nothing else. The page should only have one purpose... to sell. Using broad keyword terms may drive more visitors to your website that have no intention to purchase, resulting in a decrease in conversion rate. You need targeted visitors. Use longer, more specific keyword phrases. Good Luck
beside traffic the most important thing beyond that is conversion, because there is no point of you to have a good traffic ,with no adsense click or no lead generation on it,and about adwords advertising my suggest is you need to benchmark your competitor and search what they do with "adspy tool"from PPC detective for instance then ,go to your campaign and dont forget to test and test
