I just completed a survey for Google in which I stated my opinions on adsense. Here's a summary of what I said - wondering if others share the same thoughts. First background: I have several websites, and make a very decent income with adsense. The sites have heavy traffic, but I my niche pays only a few cents per click. My Adsense income is great - so I'm not really complaining... but I still think it could be better for everyone. What I told Google when asked what I thought could be improved with Adsense: Google adsense is an easy-to-use tool for publishers. AdWords, on the other hand, is not. I think there publishers (and Google) would receive MUCH more in revenue if AdWords were easier to use. The average person cannot use AdWords effectively. The pricing is too complicated. Setting up an account is confusing. Typical small business owners and online marketers avoid it because it is difficult to predict pricing and challenging to set up a campaign. If adwords were easier to use - and included fixed pricing that everyone could figure out - there would be more advertisers.... and people would pay more for the contextual ads as well as the search engine ads. So, basically, my only problem with AdSense is AdWords - make it more fool-proof so many more advertisers would feel empowered to create their own campaigns. Your thoughts?
