Adwords Ad "Under Review"

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by DartLady, Oct 14, 2009.

I have an adword campaign that has been "under review" for a week now. The keywords are fine, status is eligible, but it's still just sitting there waiting for review.

Does anyone know the WHY for putting an ad in review? Is this a random act of power or are there reasons one can uncover and avoid?

Thanks for your ideas and knowledge!

    Hey Guys,

Sorry to be so grim but i think they "clipped" or closed your account before your ads even got started. This is prob cause you violated the terms and conditions of google adwords.

What are you guys advertising if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi Dale,
I replied to this in the other post about a site under review. Thanks for asking. I will have to ask if/how this campaign violated any terms and conditions. It's supposed to be a learning experience, right?

It may be what you are promoting that has got a red flag on your account. This means it's being reviewed manually. YOu may be waiting a while.

The best approach is to get on the front foot and email them. That way you'll know a lot sooner what the issue is.

The best approach is to contact their support. But they make it much difficult to get through to a real live human operator who has the knowledge and patience and resources to answer your support query. You have to wade through several levels of automated help systems even though you are a paying customer of adwords.

I have got no luck with their support (or the lack of it). My banner Ads have been under review since 2 months  and still 'pending review'. I have contacted the support almost 10 times now thru their automated system but still zero response.

Wish they get some serious competition from Bing and get some of their alarm bells ringing. Before that happens, things are hopeless.

That is very unusual. Try resubmitting the ad.

Tried that too already. But still no change. In fact google has not replied to any of my queries sent thru their automated system. Dunno what's going on..:mad:

This happened to me and only a phonecall to Google sorted it out. I think basically if you're a small advertiser Google don't really care about leaving your account hanging.
