Yes that would definitely work but I do n't think there would be less competition in that.. only for some relatively less keywords there may be no competition..

I have done this and it does get me some cheaper clicks but by no means "saves loads of money" - after all, many of my competitors are doing exactly the same so there is still competition. Also, of course, many of them are definitely in the 'long-tail' so they are not going to get lots of impressions or clicks. Remember to put them as 'exact match' because Google does allow for misspellings on 'broad' match.

I do not know of any program to generate them - just need to get typing!

Well yes it's true because no one bids a lot of money on mistyped words... but how popular/pricy are your keywords?

Don't you believe it! I suppose it depends what niche you are in but in mine many misspellings cost the same or even more per click.

Remember, also, the QS of typos, especially more extreme ones, is likely to be lower because they are not so easy to optimize in terms of ad-text or on-page relevance (IMO, Filling your ads and pages with typos is likely to have a negative effect on the majority of visitors!)

    #4, Thanks for the link.

I think it is hit or miss unless you've idea about the percentage of people are searching for misspelled keywords from specific niche because when user type 'misspelled keywords' and click on search, google ask "Did you mean"? showing "correct keywords" to the users and people generally follow google suggestion to click on for specific search results they've been directed.
