Just wanted to see if anyone is having success using Google pay-per-click to drive traffic to their Adsense websites.

What is the best way to be successful at this? Any programs out there that can help me?

There was an Internet company run by one person that sold this summer which was making 6 figures a month using Adwords to profit from Adsense.

    Any advice?

It's risky business, and if you mess up you can really 'mess up'. I think the best advice is to stay out of this (just my 2 cents..), because I believe eventually Google will crack down (if they haven't already) on sites that do this.

In any event, to your original question, sorry I don't know of any guides on such things. You'd have to imagine if it makes 6 figures a month, nobody is going to write a freebie guide on how you can start taking money out of their pockets.

If you don't watch the clicks from ads you use on AdWords closely, it's easy for things to get out of hand and then all of a sudden you've spent $100 in a week on clicks from AdWords and only earned, say, $25 from AdSense clicks from users to your site. IMHO, it's worth it to advertise on AdWords when you first launch a site to bring in users/viewers/readers and also perhaps if you want to promote your site to time with an event in the offline world, but not to just generally advertise your site. You're better off in the long run using effective search engine optimization techniques on your site to help it bring in users organically than to spend tons of $$$ on AdWords.

I have to disagree with the 2 posts above me.

It can be profitable offcourse, all you have to do is:
Advertise with AdWords max. CPC of 10 cents for an AdSense that pays you about 30 cents a click average and you're done!

    Problem areas:
Not all users that click on Adwords will also click on your AdSense ads.

You can always try with a budget of 50$ in AdWords, and check out if you can earn 100 dollar with Adsense. You will not loose 100$ per week, because you can the budget and max. CPC per day or month.

Niche is also important in this area -- are there sufficient low paying keywords you can buy ads for & high paying keywords that will be displayed on your site from which you'll earn? -- that is the balance that you need to get right.

IMHO takes two things -- knowing your niche in Google & research.
