    Hello,

Retargeting is very popular on display networks (yahoo redirect, aol leadback,..).
It allows to display ads to users that have already visited your website.
The conversion rates and price are usally very good.

Do you know if Google have some plans to add a retargeting function to adwords (on the content network)?

I have read on this forum that retargeting features are under Beta :
    http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/thread?tid=3b92c257b38c71a9&hl=en

"They have just launched a very limited beta that will do exactly what you are wanting. Options include retargeting to people in a few ways: 1) They visit your site and leave; 2) They visit your site and add products to their shopping cart then leave; 3) Go through purchase process but stop somewhere; etc."

Do you know how can we apply to these beta fonctionnalities ?

Usually when something is in beta at Google, they will invite select advertisers to use and test it.

OK, so I will send an email to adwords support to try to apply directly to this beta.

I don't think you can ask to be part of the beta. You have to be invited.

Glad to hear you at least you got a response from the big G about their beta retargeting program. If you have any trouble getting accepted you may want to consider evisibility or this one here: retargeting

I see an old thread was resurrected with yesterday's news. Personally, I think this announcement can only mean good things for advertisers and consumers alike. Retargeting, if used properly, can help advertisers better target their audience and manage their campaigns much more efficiently, while consumers will now be exposed to promotions and discounts for products that they’re interested in and can actually use. It’s a win-win. Retargeting isn’t new, it’s just new to Adwords. The fact that Google is now utilizing this marketing technique just validates that it works.
