Hi all, I'm going to be advertising a pen pal website where anyone can add a message to the system to find pen pals.

    Site: http://tinyurl.com/mvrjb4

And half the ads will be in English and the others in French, as the site is a French/English cultural exchange. However, because some French people may not understand the site ... and for other reasons. I was wondering if the landing page should be the site home or if it should be the add message (add listing) page? Or would landing on a form page put a lot of people off? Would landing on that form page make it easier for people who aren't that good with English understand how to use the website??

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks all,

    Jake.

Personally I would have a specific landing page for france and one for england. No form nothing, just some text explaining the service, focussed around the keywords you are paying for (to keep the cost per click down). Then on that page a clea mnu system for the rest of the site, and a big obvious button somewhere which says "sign up here" or whatever.
