Adword Ad not showing up? Plz help

Hey guys,

I activated my adwords account, added my keywords, wrote my ads and activated my CC card all over 24 hours ago and my ads still aren't showing up. (it also says "active" next to all of my keywords and ads...and nothing has been disapproved by google)

Is this normal?

My website is an ebay store that sells a "marijuana alternative"...it's 100% legal so I don't think it is against their guidelines.

Any idea why this might be?

How about increasing your keyword bid and then running the diagnostic tool for that word.

 

Already tried that. I dont know, I've heard in the past that It can take a day or so. But im not sure.

 

Click on magnify tool, it will show you why your ads aren't showing.

 

Thats your problem.

It will have been auto flagged and will have to be manually approved which will take a few days. I doubt they will allow it, even if it is 100% legal.

Google generally don't go near anything like that...

 

You think that even though its legal Google will not approve it? Wow that sucks. We are currently the only store on ebay that sells this product. I assumed that the guidline would be the same. I've read all of googles terms and conditions and still felt that we meet all of the standards mentioned. I Hope that we get approved. Any other suggestions as to why my ads wont show up? I dont know if it matters but Google hasn't given me any notification of disapproved ads. Nor has it make and of my ad-groups inactive. I am still a little confused.

 

I just did an ad diagnostic tool and this is what showed up.

"The keyword "legal bud" is present in campaigns and/or ad groups which are not currently configured to show search ads. The ads in these places will not be shown for this keyword."

 

Yip.

They don't when it gets flagged for manual review.

Exactly. You will have to wait for review in a couple of days and see what happens.

 

Ok thanks, as long as i didnt screw something up. I appriciate the help. i hope they approve it or else i will have worked hours and hours for nothing.

Alright, My Account is now running with a few hundred impressions now with a good number of clicks. One other problem now. WHen i search for keywords on Google, none of our ads show up? I'm assuming because the time of the day? I'm not sure, does anyone know why?

 

Are you in the same country as the one you are targetting with your ads?

 

Tobacco is legal, yet you cannot promote that on AdWords. Perhaps their Content Policy might shed some light:
