Sometimes I use this Google service to define the number of queries for a certain keyword - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal The question is How accurate that system is? I am a little confused to see 1 million queries during 12 month period and only 1000 queries during last month for my different selected keywords. That means that the system shows false statistics either monthly or annual. Doesn't it? Should I rely more on annual number or last month's? Please share your opinion.
The statistics are pretty accurate. Google has no reason to lie. But think of it like this more people will be searching for "Christmas gifts" in December, or November more than they would in June, or July.
I conquer, they are very accurate, especially the phrase and exact matches. As FCM says, keep in mind seasonality of searches. Also keep in mind that if you want to maximize your impressions and clicks, your budget has to be set right too or Adwords will not show your ads all the time. If the tool says to expect 10,000 searches a month, you won't get it if your CTR is 5% at 25 cents and your budget is only $100. Your budget would have to be at least $125 to be shown for all impressions in this case.
Someone, tell me, please, the statistics for the popular phrase [buy viagra] - exact match. I have 720 queries for december and 74000 for 12-months period. Is it the reality?
2 queries - Is the 720 queries local, as opposed to 74000 global? Also, look in the show/hide columns option and choose 'Search Volume Trends' and 'Highest Volume Occurred In' In fact in November and December searches for [buy viagra] do...umm...go down... and rise again in January, reaching their full tumescence in February.
