Hello Guys and Gals, 1st post btw, I have been browsing this forum for quite some time and I have learned quite a bit. Thanks to all of you that take your time to answer so many inquiries in this site. Now with the matter in hand, for some time I have been contemplating starting an Internet Business and I would like to share my business models and probably received some input regarding the feasibility and implementation of my ideas. My background is in Real Estate, Marketing Research for Radio Stations, Finances and Business Administration and yes I am very passionate about these areas. After great deal of research and studies these are the three business that I am considering, I would like to mention that the sites will be in spanish...why? Becasue Spanish is my native tongue and I feel a lot more comfortable writing and maintaining a site in that language. 1. Music and Concerts- This page will include a day to day schedule of upcoming concerts in the USA geared toward the Spanish Market along with a Propietary Weekly "sort of Billboards" for the different categories of Spanish Music. I will write some articles to cover the content factor. 2. Real Estate Investments- This site will track the Real Estate Trends in the Markets and Counties with the larger Spanish population (Approx 250 Counties) along with articles and educational information, no get rich quick informecials type, This one will require a database so the visitors could input their zip code and a brief recap will appear, I am in the process of researching economic reports in the major cities in Latin America so I can expand my demographics. 3. Business and Finances- A page totally dedicated to most aspects of Personal Finances, starting and managing a Business and Investments in debt and equity markets, my initial impresion is that this type of website will work better with content, content and more content, but I could be wrong. Now the questions, in your opinion. Which of these three Models have the most potencial? What is the best cost effective way to start this, without spending and arm and leg, web desing, databases, hosting etc...? How much I am looking in operational expenses every month? bear in mind that I am not the most techie guy in the world Can I maintain a database once is programmed? or do I need to outsource this area? Should I blog or a Website is the way to go? Right now I am not concern about monetaizing the site (or sites) or any marketing strategies. My main concern is to bring my ideas into fruition and to read and learn what some of you recommend, advise and suggest. Thanks beforehand for your replies.
