Advise on promoting free image hosting?

I have launched a free imaging hosting site (imagestrip.net) wondering what is the best way of promoting it, ive spent around $20 on advertising on 10 different websites w/ $1 txt links for a week and such via adbrite but i wondered what is your best recommendationS?

you should also submit to some of the free/paid directories aswell

I noticed payed search engine submissions, rip-off's? With my main site ragezone it ranks very high in google and ive never submitted, this is due to reputation but maybe engine submission for the image site be another good option?

 

nope search engine submissions is spam, do it the natural way and let the search engines find your site by way of following your link on another site
