My site is on page two in Google search for this particular keyword that has an average search of 14 thousand per month. I have been there for one week the higuest I've been is second on the second page. I am posting daily, submitting at least one article but within the week I have been up and down on that page. I noticed that when I post the site goes high and the next day I lose a couple of spots. Do I need to post more than once per day, change the static home page, change it to dynamic. I do not want to make any drastic changes and lose my page two spot.

    Thanks for any advice

    Ruben

Hey ruben. This is easy you just need to anchor your text/keyword on dofollow blogs until you get boosted to page 1! Its that ez. Stronger pagerank will help you better if your anchor text is on those. Pm if you'd like a serps boost package from me.

One thing I have noticed google bounces newer sites (within a year old) quite a bit. I would recommend keep building relevant backlinks nice and steady and keep posting once daily which is definitely enough you will make it to the first page. Remember don't stress to much over getting to the first page on google for a particular keyword because as soon as you reach the top they will switch up the algorithm and you will be back to the second or third page. It is good to spend more time pleasing your readers and creating posts that are link worthy rather than trying to appease google.

As the above people have stated, you just need to work at building more quality backlinks. You don't need to post more than once per day. Use that energy to submit more articles or do some blog commenting.

A good strategy when you are in that position is to analyze the backlinks of the top10 websites for that keyword. I use seo elite to do that, but you can also do this through yahoo site explorer or other tools...it just takes longer that way. You should be able to copy some of the links that those top 10 websites have...ie directory links, forum links, article directory links, blog comments, etc.

It's not easy to achieve 1st page in one week. Continue to post good content, content that people like to link and you will see results, I swear :)

Thank you everyone for your replies. I thought I was stuck but like someone said one week is too shor to expect to be on page one, it's just I wasn't even expecting and excitement gets ahold of you wanting to make that final leap. At first I was posting maybe every three days sometimes once per week then I started posting daily and making article submissions and forum postings in relevant sites and I could see how it began to rank better so now I am in page two so I guess I will just be patient and just focus on posting and building backlinks

well really nothing you can do except just adding backlinks (dont bother with comments, get high pr links from multiple sites)

most of the other sites on first page will have much more authority than your site, so only time can improve the situtation backed with continuous backlinking.

Yes, sites less than a year old do bounce quite a bit. Just curious, how many hits do you get daily being on page 2 for keywords that are searched for 14,000/month. I'm in the same predicament with one of my sites. I jump between 12 and 15 for a keyphrase that is supposed to get over 30,000 searches a month (according to Google's keyword tool. However, I only get between 5 and 10 daily visitors from this keyphrase. I still can't believe it. Does nobody go to page 2?

Exactly, just about no one goes to page 2. This is where the saying is very true, "the grass is greener on the other side". For example when I search on Google I usually stop at the midpage results sometimes I check out the entire page but I can count in one hand how many times I have gone to page 2.

Average for in the single digits, I do a lot of off-line promotion to get hits.

It will happen, just have to wait.

i am in a similiar situation for a site. im convinced i can't do much about it because all the other sites have authority, age, and such....no way i can get beyond page 2. just time will tell.

Well what you did was great, and your ranking only shows that you need more hard work and new strategies to get a higher rankings. And the most important is to gather more relevant and quality backlinks.
