    Hi,
I need some more suggestion about my directory site.
    My directory site is: http://www.wwebdirectory.com
I wanted a category in root level, named: Adult.
If I add this new category, is it good for my site or not?

I searched dmoz, yahoo and some other high PR directory that they are using adult section for their site.
    For dmoz:
    http://www.dmoz.org/Adult/

    For yahoo:
    http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Sex/

Please explain me if I have taken a wrong decision and also suggest me if I have taken right decision.

    Thanks
    Mahi

It's purely your own choice but some submitters can be put off (paying submitters) by categories like adult.

Also it means that you then cant claim a directory to be family friendly.

And if you're accepting payment, you would have to be careful too, also not run any adsense on it either.

I personally wouldn't add it, as your traffic may decrease depending on the age level of your users.

If you want to go after the adult market, why not make a niche adult directory?

Your directory, entirely your decision on what to list.

    VERY IMPORTANT:
You cannot use Paypal as your payment processor or Google Adsense for advertising if you list adult websites.

Yahoo and DMOZ are very established directories so even if they do list adult websites they wont lose their credibility.,

For new directories, establishing credibility is very important and listing adult websites does a lot more damage to credibility than bringing money for submissions

one of my directories has the adult category, but no any submission yet,
how about yours? if your directory has the potential of regularly a stack adult sites submissions,
just give a try for half year.

Good point :) I think adding "Adult" category to a directory thats meant to be a general directory would change the image of the entire site for submitters as well as general visitors!

I don't have any adult category on my general directories, never got any submissions from that niche anyway.

I mean that if you accepted porn sites as a paid submission in your directory and took payment through paypal and maybe paypal dont allow you to accept payment for those types of sites then you might lose your paypal acount.

And if you placed adsense on your directory and are listing adult sites well then you might lose your adsense account.

You should be checking this yourself anyway.

There are many things that i would not take a chance with, things like a paypal account, adsense account etc, this is why they have all of the terms, rules, guidelines for people to read on their sites.

Btw, ?sess=del surely that should not be visible at the end of your url?

    Thanks for your point.
I have corrected the spelling mistake.
My developer are working on first issue that you have suggested me. Hopefully, it will be solved within short time.

I also want to inform you that I decide that I don't use any ad-sense in my directory.
