Don't copy content from other sites. Google will detect it, your pages will never get indexed and you will never get any visitors.... and therefore no money :(

    Write your own stuff instead.

the quality is key to the success of the site, if you can provide new fresh content that no other site has you will attract visitors and keep the coming back. Quality is King!!!

I agree with the posts above. As for the rate with which your website should be updated, first check how often Google spiders your site. Obviously the best scenario would be to make a little update every time it visits you. If that is impossible, update in such a fashion that at every few crawls Google bot will see something fresh to read.

This is not an opinion from a qualified expert, it simply makes sense to me.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards, George

    The adage is this:

Try to add one piece of solid content to your site per day.

If you just have one site, this is a piece of cake. Don't use outside content. You will get more bang for your buck in the long run if you start with a handful of original articles verses a slew of duplicate stuff.

Out of curiosity, how do you find out exactly how often Google crawls your site?

I don' think that this question is related to this topic- however...

    1. Check your Awstats. It has a complete section listing spiders crawled, including how long.

    2. Check the Google cache by going to Google and searching for "cache:yoursitehere.com."

It's related to the topic, because someone mentioned doing it in this thread as advice to the original poster. I just wanted more specific details on what they said, that's all.

    Thank you.

You always want to use unique content over duplicated content. Google will zap you in a heartbeat.

    - Write. Don't worry about writing the content from start to finish. Just write blocks of copy and stack them up.

    - Avoid perfectionism.

I have a couple of sites. I find that original and unique content sells much better. You get more clicks and make more from adsense. Reprint articles can be used but if the content is not unique, they hardly add value.

You can add a WP blog to your niche site and do autoposting (I'm not sure if there is a free WP plugin for this but I paid for mine). Then autopost once a day about the content that you are adding to your site.
