Hello, I'm selling digital goods for 4 months and accepting payments only via paypal. I got 3 chargebacks so far, the last one was today and I'm getting demoralized day by day. I have several questions: 1 - Is there any way to prevent credit card payments on paypal? I would like to accept payments only from funds. 2 - Anyone uses SMS verification? Is it expensive for small business? 3 - Which payment methods do you advice for digital goods? I don't care about fees because I lost 45$ today. 25$ buyer stole, 20$ paypal stole (chargeback fee) 4 - Any ideas?
At the very least, you could verify the IP address of the buyer matches the country that their PayPal account is registered to.
Actually, verifying the IP address is just one of the ways to detect fraud. Visa has a whole list of tips - I think there are 12.
You should check the review first of the buyer and then sell to them and another thing is you should send the bill to them on paypal and you should add terms and condition of received product as per specification and then producce paypal that bill in case of dispute
