Hi, I've been using Adsense for about... 1 year now and still dont even make a regular $1+ a day even. I've had sites in the past which I've got rid of, I currently have 3 sites online. My main site used to get about 12 clicks a day but I completely re-vamped it, changed the design, layout, everything and now it hardly gets any clicks despite getting 150 - 200 uniques a day. So far I've only accomplished 2 Adsense $100 payments and last month made $30, the most I've made in a day is... $8.93 but that was a rare one and I usually only make about $0.46 - $2 a day but it's really not stable and it comes and goes. I know alot about SEO and am ranked well for alot of phrases so getting traffic isn't the problem for me, I know position of ads really counts as my other site which is still newish and only gets about... 30 uniques a day gets about 3 - 7 clicks a day. These are my 3 current sites, one of which I haven't placed Adsense on yet so actually I will just show my main one. Any Adsense veterins here who know alot about ad placement / improvement or how to increase click chances could you take a look at my main site and maybe tell me where I can improve, thank you. Main site: http://www.gervaisworld.com
1.) Don't make the one on the top a red boarder.... make it the same scheme as your site! 2.) Add one where it says Welcome, Latest News, and Latest Media... A ad line. 3.) Put one in your forums... it couldn't hurt! 4.) Put a skyscraper or a square on the side of your pages! And make em all the scheme of your site!
snapplekid13 thanks the reason I used a red border is I used to blend the scheme but I found maybe with a stand out scheme it catches the eye more. Also, I would have a skyscraper ad if I could but I have a long left nav and no room apart from below it so not worth it as the more units you have usually the less for the clicks.
Do you know what ads are showing? The ads I'm seeing here are for Gervais, a French skiing resort. Perhaps it's just because I'm in France though?
Yes most ads are for ricky gervais, usually 'Ricky Gervais tickets' obviously sometimes you get the odd irrelevant one and it's probably showing french stuff now and then because 'Gervais' is a french name.
