i tried adding adbrite to my site (http://www.devbistro.com) once. there were no advertisers and i took it down. don't remember how much i was going to charge. can anyone suggest what would be a reasonable rate for links/textads via adbrite and where you'd place them

    thanks!

I would put Adbrite back if you want to have it
You will find it is slow to start with - thats what I found anyway
However after a while you start to get more ads

You can always take ads from the network and earn money from the clicks you get. They also have an intertestial you can use

The great thing is that people pay you directly for a 30 day ad or whatever

On pricing I leave it to the AdBrite system - they will calculate it for you using supply and demand. Once you have a full board of ads, the prices will start rising

However you need to be careful not to price yourself out of the market
Its not like Google where the prices are very high - like people bidding $5 or more per click. You are not going to get that on AdBrite

Well I have been using both Adbrite and Adsense on our site at http://www.clickonsend.com and I have to say I have been really dissapointed with Adbrite..

In one month (February 2007) Google Adsense revenue was $749.33 yet Adbrite was $44.90 but we show both Adsense and Adbrite ads on same pages, yet adbrite ads they show are always the same so they have become stagnant our site has many repeat visitors so if they have clicked once there not going to click a second time.

Unless, we were to BLOCK all ads for Adbrite and individually select each advertiser which would take forever and be costly. So as of next month we will severe our ties with Adbrite.

We have tried to register with Yahoo Publisher but being a UK based co. we have been excluded and from I have read both here and on other sites we are not missing out on anything.

So my personal belief is Adsense is still the true #1

One thing I have learnt from this is you should try everything possible and explore all avenues for your site, and only then will you get the full picture.

you can use both and on same page or on different page. Many times you get very good prices so use both. adbrite is a totally transparent system while google does not do that.
