I've recently started a country specific video blog, its been 2 weeks and the traffic chart is going up. However, I have not monetized it yet. Was thinking to use Adsense, though my friends, some authors already know about my blog. Some may click the ads to help me and some may click with bad intensions.... Will google take care of it? Is it feasible to a risk? or Otherwise, which monetization ways are good in my case, any idea?
As long as youre not telling them to do it and they dont click a ton of ads as far as google knows you cant do anything about it. But to avoid any risk you should tell them not to.
Right, I am not telling them to do it. But some of them I know may do it, however am more concerned about the friends of friends, some of them hates me too and will try everything to get me blocked. Any idea to avoid them? Blocking IP would probably not a good idea in my case. What more? Any other monetization ideas in my case is more than welcome.
If you are too paranoid about someone clicking too much on your ads, then use a third party service software which can control clicks from a particular ip, do a search in google for such softwares, there are many available Adsense Detective by Joel Comm is one i remember or no is it an analytic tracker i dont exactly remember
tracking is all... check your stats every day and shows your account a ctr which is to high speak with your friends or send an email to adsense. but don't say your friends are clicking.
Click one two times is fine but not often. If they click it time to time, then definately will harm your account
I guess so, you are very right about it. But again I need something to support the domain, hosting, submissions and different kind of costs for the blog - and like every one else, hoping to earn as well?
What if other people - competitors- from different regions intentionally do the clicking to harm your site. Does Google have any way of detecting such actions instead of punishing your site?
there are thousands of ip you can all block them ?! or you can set your blog only display in a certain region.
If the number of clicks are very very high (as compared to the impressions on the page) then you might be at risk.
