Advice required for selling a domain

    Hello,

I have recently received an email from a person that is interested in buying one of my domains and I answered that I agree and we can make the deal but he is asking me to order a manual domain appraisal from a reputable source otherwise we can't make the deal.

Do you think that this could be some scam, or something like this ?

Common scam. YOU buy the paid appraisal and then you never hear back from them after you pay for the "appraisal" service.

total scam, just ask him to do the appraisal himself if he is so interested, he will probably disappear after that.

And what he earns from that ? He said will let me choose the appraisal source so I am free to choose, where is his profit in this scam ?

This is a common scam, but that doesn't necessarily mean that this guy is scamming you. Perhaps he really is interested in the site and thinks that he needs to get a legitimate appraisal before buying.

In the end you have to decide. Thnink about how much money are you talking about and how much would you be willing to pay for the appraisal.

Just be careful. Even if the guy is sincerely interested he may not follow up with a purchase once the appraisal is done.

It's definately you're typical appraisal scammer. Whenever someone asks for an appraisal otherwise they won't buy, you just ignore them & move on.

he makes money as such (him/you):
i want to buy for price x
    sounds good
i need you to appraise it at sedo, afternic or scam site (cheaper than rest)
    ok, *appraises at cheap one*
    ...never hear anything again
