Advice regarding optin placement

    Hi Guys,

For some unexplainable reason, something clicked in me tonight (Norb and friends floating in my subconscious) :D. I got off my butt and began to do something productive.

So here I am building a landing page for my custom built MRR bundle which will have no affiliates. My main call to action is the purchase of the bundle.

But naturally I would like to build a list at the same time!

I am juggling between the ideas of:

putting an opt-in form for a free bonus on the sales pages, to try and grab names before they bounce ..

    and

putting the opt-in on the thank-you page as an OTO, where I know they will opt-in, since they've already made the decision to purchase and now have a chance to get more for free. This method however will yield less names on the list, but I think they would be more qualified.

    What would you do?

    Thanks for the advice,

    Rick

Why not both? It could be different opt-ins or the same.

A few popular scenarios - since I'm already floating in your head lol...

*User comes to a bonus WIN/Bonus/Free page - no sales letter, just whatever widget/freebie they get, along with a forced opt-in (nothing else they can do - just prechecked boxes next to your free offer - and optin box).
    *User opts-in
*User gets your sales letter as the next page from the optin and their first autoresponse ready to reassure/remind them...

    2.
*User comes to sales page - sales page has above the fold opt-in and footer opt-in under your last 'buy' button/terms (usually as a last attempt to grab them).

    3. User comes to a sales page.
    *User buys the product
*Your thank you page is NOTHING more than a squeeze page "thanks for buying - please verify your name/email to finish the transaction and download"
*Once you squeeze them - your thank you page is your OTO - or 'skip and download' options.

    4. User comes to sales page
    *User buys
*User gets squeezed to thank you/download page directly.

    5. User comes to sales page
    * Pop up/Fly in opt-in form comes in 3-5 seconds later << I hate them personally but they seem effective for others.

    Whatever floats your boat!

Now that's good food for thought ...

Think I'm liking Norb's option 3, gonna sleep on it.

    Cheers
