    Hi guys,

I've just started a directory (foolish I know).

Would you go for a big site with lots of highly specific niche category pages to try to maximise the number of indexed content or go for something smaller to try to channel pr to inner category pages?

    cheers

If you do it the right way it should start off small anyway, id suggest small.

I would go for a bigger site though who ever starts ,starts small only which eventually grows into something big.

I wouldn't do either until I understood who my visitors would be, then I would make my site according to the plan I had for monetizing those visitors.

I own some huge sites and some small sites. Often the small sites will outperform the larger ones.

You really need to have a "blueprint" for your plan.

category must be related with your niche, if not, why you build directory? after that give people category suggestion and you do a good research every category
