Advice on scripts/software for creating user accounts and storage areas

Hi all,

I'm hoping somebody here might be able to help point me in the right direction.

I need to be able to create individual users accounts for my website which allow privileged users to upload/download files stored in their area.

I'm positive that something like this must exist, I'm not looking for a massive application. It's really just supposed to be a "client login" section off the main website where we can drop files for individuals to pick up and for them to drop files for us to grab.

I've done a bit of googling and came across something called "PhP Membership Manager" which is commercial and I'm positive there must be others worth reviewing, probably open source.

Anyway if you have any advice on scripts or apps for me to look at, or even just terms I should be searching for I would be most appreciative.

So basically you want a login script that will allow users to upload and download files? Yeah, that sounds pretty simple.

Maybe you've been searching for the wrong thing, try searching for a file upload script with a login

 

search for
a)A user management script(try php.about.com to get a simple script)
b)A php file uploader(try one at w3schools.com to get an idea)

I'm open to the possibility that somebody could do the work for me for a fee. If your interested, PM me how much you would want.

Requirements:

1, Ability to create/remove user accounts (administrator screen)
2, Users with accounts can login to an individual file store where they can create/delete folders and upload/delete files in their area
3, The administrator should be able to see all client file stores and have full control over them. To do this the admin will be FTP-ing into the server so the file stores should be easily available to navigate etc.
4, The login screen and file store pages should be integrated into the existing site (same CSS, or at least style as the main site).

I will do that for 75$, Pm me for any other info. And I suggest you use cPanel or any other app to navigate instead of ftp. Plus you want users to download files directely or with stupid stuff like rapidshare?
