hello all My free advertising site has been around for nearly half a year maybe more maybe less. My idea for my site is unique and i really think i'm onto a winner. Not just for me but for everyone who uses it. My SEO has been going well and maturing quite nicely. Though what other techniques other then SEO should i use. All suggestions needed cheers

Thanks for providing the link. And I guess no rules breached As far as promotion is concerned, press releases and article marketing worked great for me. I am right now promoting 3 websites that me and my partner own and we are able to get highly targeted traffic (quality though less in quantity) through it.
Thank you for your quick reply. I did use freetrafficsystem.com for a site i owned earlier this year. It actually worked wonders despite it's tacky name. Though when i came to try with this site the article was never published including another article for a different site. Other then that i've tried submitting articles to free article directory's which never seemed to help. Also SEOLinkVine was out of my price range at the time it was available (which i'm not sure if they reopened it). Though money problems have only seemed to get worse for me. Also heard great things about press releases but it's very costly. Just out of interest do you have any free press release site recommendations if there is any. cheers
Why does PR and article marketing has to be costy? I do it myself and by using software. Of course you cannot use software in all the submissions. Many you have to it manually and they do give good results if you get it right.
Try some free press release and article directories. My best trick - go for not very popular but high ranking directories. That way, you get better approval rates and at the same time better traffic
thats an extremely good tip! I'm not sure about the whole software strategy. I personally think that's a risky tactic as this could harm your SEO @joesmillion - I suppose your right, I just find it hard to explain the idea in a few words.
when I said software, I didnt mean like spinning of articles, etc. Use software to save your time that's it. Suppose you write one genuine article and you want to submit it to 20 directories that you have chosen, you have two options - either do it manually or employ a software. That's it.
